Giorgio Galli was born in 1962 in Varese, near Milan (Italy) and is a graduate of the renowned Art Institute of Florence.  He started his career in the United States, his first job taking him to Lucas Films in San Francisco. Two years down the road he returned to Italy to create his own company: “Giorgio Galli and Partners”, initially founded with “21 Invetimenti” Merchant Bank of the Benetton Family. Today Giorgio Galli owns 100% of the company  and offers high quality services in watch design, corporate identity, and industrial and product design. Giorgio’s approach is to follow through each project from a to z, managing each detail of the process he has created for his client. Giorgio Galli is also co-founder of the Milan TV station “Sei Milano’.

Watches are Giorgio Galli’s number one passion and over the years he has developed unique expertise, with many bestsellers for some of the biggest brands in the industry to his name. He plans each task in an extremely meticulous manner, embracing a 360° vision of the project. He defines the positioning, the strategy and the reasons of his design choices in direct relation to the brand involved. Once the design is completed and approved, he follows its development from the prototypes wherever in the world this might  take place. And his work does not stop there - often he is asked to help with the communication strategies of the product he has created.

From 1991 to 1993 Giorgio Galli was the Swatch Group’s youngest ever Art Director and designed more than 250 watches for them, from chronos to scubas, automatics to Pop Swatch. He was also instrumental in creating the Milan-based Swatch Lab. This experience led him to watch design for international groups such as Movado and Concord, Seiko and Citizen. Since 1999 he has been designing Nautica Watches and since 2002, he has designed for Sector Watches.

In 2005, he created the highly innovative Timex TX™ and since then has become the official designer of Versace Watches. In January 2006 he officially became the Creative Director of Timex Group with the task of redesigning the fashion line.
